The Design Edit Page

The design edit page contains all the settings and actions you can perform on your own design, including setting the scale and repeat information for all artwork uploaded to the site. When a design is uploaded, it is assigned a unique design ID and Design URL that links to its Design Layout Page. Be certain to sign into your account before uploading so that each design will be saved in your Design Library for future access.

Each new design uploaded to our site is treated as unique and initially saved as private. It receives a Design ID, a home in your Design Library, and its own design edit page. The URL of each design will fit the following format, in which the ######## represents your design’s id: https://www.spoonflower.com/artists/designs/########

• Edit Thumbnail: This gives you the ability to edit the default thumbnail of your design which displays in search results and in the cart. 
• File Options: Here you can select to replace, download or delete your design.
• Proofing: Clicking on “Not Proofed” will allow you to digitally proof your design to ensure it will print correctly.  It changes to “Proofed” when successfully completed.
• Private/For Sale: A design can either be private to be purchased by the design’s owner or publicly for sale (only applicable for verified sellers).
• Edit Title & Search: Enter title, description and tag information particularly important if your design is for sale in the marketplace.
• Enter a Design Challenge: Enter that specific design into a Design Challenge
• Edit Products: This section shows which products your design is purchasable on and an image preview.
  • Edit Fabric and Wallpaper products: The Edit buttons will allow you to change the repeat and scale of your designs.
    • Fabric and Home Decor settings live within Fabric
    • Wallpaper settings and fabric settings may differ from each other
  • Rotate Design: If your design is horizontal and one-directional, it may need to be rotated to print correctly on Wall Hanging and Tea Towel products which are vertical. 
  • Buy and Share: The Buy button will lead you to the product page where you can purchase your design on the given product. The Share button will copy your design’s product page link to your clipboard so you can conveniently paste it to share it with others to purchase if the design is publicly for sale.
