Four Different Ways to Save


Sitewide Promotion

A sale or promotion made available for all customers at Spoonflower for a certain period of time. Sitewide Promotions are automatically applied to all eligible items and do not require a promo code. These promotions are typically for:

  • Merchandise: All goods sold by Spoonflower are considered merchandise. Merchandise included in a promotion may vary. Such promotions may be for all Fabrics, speciality Fabric(s), Wallpaper, Home Decor, Fat Quarters, Buy Now/Save Later, Buy More/Save More, etc...
  • Shipping: This covers the charges incurred to ship the order. Free Standard (Worldwide) Shipping is the most common promotion.

Promo Code

A special, one-time-use discount code for merchandise, shipping or both, that is unique to each individual. Promo codes often arrive:

  • in email, or with our newsletter,
  • through a postcard mailer,
  • as a pop-up menu on our site.

You must save any site generated promo code. It will not be automatically added to your shopping cart.


Evergreen Discounts

These promotions are always active and automatically applied when conditions are met. For more detailed information review Bulk Fabric, Wholesale Pricing and Designer Discounts:

  • Everyday Designer Discount (EDD): Artists receive 10% off any item printed with their own design, except for Test Swatches or Swatch Samplers.
    • For Fill-A-Yard®orders the 10% arrives as a commissions payout in Spoondollars
    • For Home Decor items, the discount applies only on the cost of the fabric, not construction of the product
  • Bulk Discount (Fabric Only): Single orders of 20+ yards/meters are eligible for wholesale discounts. This merchandise promotion cannot be combined with any other merchandise promotion and shows in the shopping cart. Discount applied after EDD. Thresholds are as follows:
    • 10% off orders of 20 to 49 yards/meters
    • 15% off orders of 50 to 99 yards/meters
    • 20% off orders of 100+ yards/meters
    • Contact us for orders over 500 yards/meters



PRO Membership

PRO Membership benefits are merchandise promotions. Pro-exclusive fabrics are already listed at wholesale pricing and do not qualify for any additional promotions except the EDD.


Rules Of Promotional Engagement

At Spoonflower there are two promotional categories:

  • Merchandise: All goods sold by Spoonflower are considered merchandise. Merchandise included in a promotion may vary. Such promotions may be for all Fabrics, speciality Fabric(s), Wallpaper, Home Decor, Fat Quarters, Buy Now/Save Later, Buy More/Save More, etc...
  • Shipping: This covers the charges incurred to ship the order. Free Standard (Worldwide) Shipping is the most common promotion. 

During a sitewide merchandise promotion, all discounts are automatically applied. Individual items prices will be crossed out with a sale price published nearby and your shopping cart will publish your overall order Savings as you check out. Placing an order into your cart will not save the sale price if you plan to purchase after the sale. Review the promotional fine print.


With the exception of the 10% Everyday Designer Discount, no two merchandise promotions can exist within one order, and merchandise discounts cannot be grouped as a larger discount. This includes the combination of a sitewide promotion and promo codes, or two merchandise promo codes. If you happen to enter a promo code during a sitewide promotion, it will override the current discount, even if the discount is less.

Example: During a 15% off wallpaper sale, a new customer enters a 10% off welcome code. The 15% off will disappear and the price will list as 10% off. If this happens to you, review this section to fix it.


NOTE: You cannot enter two merchandise promo codes in one order, but you may use a merchandise promo code and a shipping promo code. When you have two merchandise promo codes, order the applicable items in separate orders.


Applying and Removing Promo Codes

Applying a Promo Code

  1. Link into your shopping cart then click the View Cart.Checking_Out_1.jpg
  2. Within the cart, click + Promo Code to open the field:Promo_Code_1.jpg
  3. Enter your code into this field and click Apply. A brief description of the promotion will appear. Apply_Code_1.jpg

Removing a Promo Code

Click on the "x" next to the Promo Code name to remove it. The pricing will immediately update and the description will disappear. The code will remain active until it is used or expires.



More on Bulk Discounts

Once 20 yards/meters of fabric are in the cart, bulk pricing is applied. However, if there is an active sitewide promotion, our system will apply whichever promo gives you the greatest discount.

Example: A customer has ordered a mix of fabric substrates that total over 20 yards and become eligible for the 10% off Bulk discount. However, there is also an active sitewide promotion for 15% off quilting cottons. Our system will calculate which promotion provides the better overall discount and apply it automatically. 


NOTE: PRO Membership exclusive fabrics will count towards overall yardage/meterage calculations but because they are already listed at wholesale prices, they do not receive the 10% off like the other other substrates in the cart


Trade Programs

Interior Designers may apply to be a part of our Trade Program for:

  • Free Swatches
  • Trade Discounts
  • Dedicated Customer Support

This application takes around 5 minutes and helps us learn about your business and if the program is right for you. You must include one of the following:

  • a link to your website (preferred)
  • a digital portfolio showing your work
  • a social media handle with current images

as well as one of these qualifying documents:

  • a business card with the included design profession
  • a business license,
  • a professional trade association membership card


Discounts for Military, Frontline Workers, Educators and Students

Qualified Military, First Responders, Educators, and Students, may be eligible for a discount on all orders through ID.me. Click on the verification button in your cart and follow the steps.


  • ID.me discounts can be combined with the Everyday Designer Discount
  • When another promotion is active, the larger discount will automatically apply
  • Free shipping promos can be used with the ID.me discount.

This discount is currently only available to Spoonflower customers within the United States of America.


Special Circumstances and Conditions

As mentioned above, Spoonflower is not able to stack, or combine, promotions together, but we want you to be able to take advantage of all our promotions in the best way possible. If you happen to have two valuable promo codes, or a certain Sitewide Promotion partially conflicts with a Promo Code that you already have, it is always a smart idea to place separate orders.



  1. If you have a Promo Code for Fat Quarters and there is a Sitewide Promotion for yardage/meterage of Quilting Fabrics, you will want to place two different orders, one only for Fat Quarters using the Promo Code, and the other for the yardage of Quilting Fabrics which will receive the the Sitewide Promotion pricing.
  2. If you are a PRO Member, your half-priced Swatches benefit are considered a “promotion”. If you have swatches in your cart as well as enough fabric for Bulk pricing, or if any other Sitewide merchandise Promotion is active, our system will always calculate and provide you with the overall best discount. This means that you will likely end up paying full price for the Swatches accidentally. However, when you place them as a separate order, the “promotion” will apply.


Note: Specific terms and conditions will apply for each Sitewide Promotion and Promo Code that may differ from the information covered in this article. These terms and conditions will always be included with promotional emails and found on our site, serve as authority for our Promotions, and take precedence over any details found on this page.


Common Issues & FAQ


How can I see when your current Sitewide promotion will expire?

The fine print for the current promotion is always up to date here.

I received a Promo Code for signing up but the discount is not in my cart. Where is it?

The Promo Code is not be automatically added to your shopping cart. You must add the code when you are ready to place your order. For more information for the steps to do so, please go here.

I added my Promo Code but it says my order doesn't qualify?

There may be a few of reasons for this:

  • Be sure your Promo Code qualifies under the fine print of the promotion
  • You may need to be logged into your account 
  • You already used the code
  • You already used another promo code from the same promotion.

If none of these conditions apply, feel free to reach out to us for assistance.

I forgot to add my Promo Code to my order. Can i apply it now?

Unfortunately, we can't retroactively apply a Promo Code to any order once placed. You can certainly still use the Promo Code towards any new order instead as long as it is valid. For more information about applying this to an order in the future, look here.

Can my Promo Code be combined with the Bulk discount in my cart?

No. Merchandise Promo Codes cannot be combined with any other merchandise discount, including bulk pricing. If you enter your Promo Code while other merchandise promos are active, the promo code will override the current discount.  You may easily remove the code for later use.

Can the 10% Everyday Designer Discount be combined with the Bulk discounts?

When you order your own designs, the 10% EDD is always available, even with bulk or other merchandise discounts.

NOTE: When purchasing you designs as a Fill-A-Yard or Fill-A-Project, the 10% EDD will be post as Spoondollars to your account. For Home Decor, the 10% EDD only applies to the cost of fabric needed to make the item.

I'm a PRO member but my swatches are listed at half-priced swatches in my cart. Why?

If the half-price swatches aren't listed in your cart, make sure you are logged into your account:

  • If you are not signed it, that is likely why
  • If you are signed in, it might be because your cart is already receiving another promotion. Because our carts can't provide two promotions at once, place a separate order for the Test Swatches.

Do you have an Interior Designer discount?

I already have an ID.me account but it is asking me to create a new one. What should I do?

If you already have an account with ID.me, sign into it before placing your order. Then, once you click the "ID.me" link through Spoonflower, it should link automatically into your account. Please contact us if something continues to happen otherwise.

Why am I not getting a discount through ID.me with my order?

It is possible that your specific vocational identity was not selected for this discount with ID.me and Spoonflower. Check here for more information.
