Spoonflower's throw pillows are available in four different sizes:
- Square: 18 x 18 inches (46 x 46 cm)
- Square: 20 x 20 inches (51 x 51 cm)
- Lumbar: 24 x 14 inches (60 x 35 cm)
- XL Lumbar: 36 x 14 inches (91 x 35 cm)

Fabric Options
Choose one of the following five fabric options for your throw pillow - and learn more about each one in Learn about Our Living & Decor Fabrics:
- Belgian Linen™: high-end, breathable and naturally hypoallergenic
- Cypress Cotton Canvas: thick basketweave texture for a luxurious look
- Linen Cotton Canvas: Fade-resistant, soft yet sturdy with a natural texture
- Performance Velvet: Buttery soft and stain-resistant with a beautiful drape
- Recycled Canvas: Upholstery fabric made with 10 recycled plastic bottles per yard
Pillow Inserts
Throw pillows can be purchased with the cover only or with an insert. Our pillow inserts are made from partially recycled material - the covers are 65% recycled polyester, 35% virgin polyester; and the fill is a mix of recycled and virgin polyester. If you'd like an insert included with the purchase of your pillow cover, check the box next to the words Include pillow insert on the ordering page, as shown below. The price of the pillow insert varies depending on the size of the pillow.

▶ What type of closure is sewn into these pillows?
Our throw pillows have a hidden zipper. Since you can buy just the cover, or the cover with an insert, you can order and trade out seasonally or for special occasions.
▶ Is the design on both sides of the pillow?
Yes, the design will printed on both the front and the back sides of the pillow. The inner cover will be the back side of fabric and therefore unprinted.
▶ Can I mix and match patterns on the front and back of these pillows?
No - our finished Throw Pillows can only be constructed from one design at this time. If you'd prefer a pillow made with a different design on the front and back, we would recommend ordering fabric-by-the-yard and sewing your own custom pillow. If you need help, a local sewist may be able to help you plan or complete this type of project.
▶ Can throw pillows be kept outside in fairer weather?
We do not treat our fabrics with weatherproofing, nor have we tested our substrates for performance in outdoor conditions. You may consider Recycled Canvas, as it can last up to two seasons when kept in protected or shaded spaces. Longevity varies based upon design elements and amount of ink used in the printing process.
▶ I forgot to order inserts. May I order some now?
You can order a pillow inserts without the cover but it does take an additional step. First, add both the insert and cover to you cart. Navigate to your cart where you'll see these two items listed separately. From there, you can click the Remove button next to the cover and then only the insert will remain.
